Wasabi Sushi in St. Marys

Once we walked in we were not greeted by anyone although there were two ladies standing right at the cashier. So as we stood there awkwardly waiting to be seated I saw the menu's and decided I would take one and look at it while we wait to be seated since I dont want to then have to wait to order. Mind you they were not even busy. Once I grab the menu I'm told that they will give me one when I am seated....okay well why am I not seated yet? Finally they guided us to a table. The food was decent , not the best I've had or anything but good. However their service is terrible, they aren't friendly or polite to their customers at all.

In my opinion this is the best oriental food. Wait staff is always friendly and give great service.

They're open again for take-out and delivery! It's a welcome comfort for the area, and they're a super efficient operation. Check their hours and order whenever you are craving sushi or hibachi, they are putting out happy plates every day!

Their food is great but they have made their takeout process so difficult it is making me order there less and less. If you order on their website it makes you pick a time that's more than an hour away. And if you use doordash it can only be scheduled for after 5PM and the times start going away before you can actually use those times. I would gladly give a better rating but they are making it like you have to plan to eat here the day before so you can preorder and that isnt how food works these days it's very spur of the moment.

By far my favorite sushi spot in town. Great food and even better prices. It is hard to beat what wasabi offers. This place can get really busy and depending on who is on the floor that night, you can go a while before being attended to. But outside of that, it's a great spot for your sushi fix.

Got take out from this little gem, and it was such a treat. It's not often that you find good sushi in small towns in the south, but they prepared it wonderfully. We called in during dinner rush hours, but there wasn't much of a wait at all! The crab sticks that they use in the sushi are huge, and their rolls are reasonably priced. They have yum yum sauce too, so it was even more enjoyable.

Great customer service. Lunch menu is great. Sushi is fantastic. Enjoy.

First time, it was sub par. 2nd time, totally disgusting. Sushi came to us smelling way too fishy and the tuna on our roll was absolutely gross. I was willing to excuse the first, but I'll never waste another dollar at this place. Shame on you all for serving past due fish. If I could have given them 0 stars I would have.

This place is pretty good, I am not a fan of sushi but I get the shrimp tempura and the dumplings and it is so good. My husband loves sushi and he loves to eat here.

Great lunch prices! Love their shrimp. The clear soup is our households favorite. Their Hibachi chicken is picky-kid-approved. Their salads could use a little love and quality control but who goes for the salad anyway..? Their sushi is wonderful. I highly recommend the cucumber special roll!

The workers can come off as hostile at times but the food is good. Not my go to sushi place in St. Marys but it’s a solid place for lunch.

I only recently started going here and I was going constantly due to my wife's pregnancy cravings. I have at least 10 times now. The family that owns it is really nice, the service is well, wait time is minimal, and the food more importantly is amazing. I had stopped eating Japanese rice to eat Thai rice from Green Papaya in River City but after visiting here, I've decided to come more often. I get the clear soup which is meat based, the beef fried rice, and a side order of hibachi broccoli and onions. I don't really like broccoli but they make it taste amazing. Recommend trying. You'll be happy you did. The portion size is about 1.5 meals worth so be prepared for a to-go box. My wife loves the sushi as well so that might be worth a shot.

We liked our sushi. Service good. Busy but service good and food didn't take too long. Will go back.

GOOD ORIENTAL FOOD AT FAIR PRICES; LOCAL FAVORITE.

I ordered take out while allowing a busy toddler to stretch his legs from being in the car seat for 3 hours. The food was ready before the estimated time, fresh and tasty. I ordered chicken with mixed veggies and a side of noodles instead of rice. Miso soup and spring rolls.

Known the owner when I was a kid and great food they put heart into it all should be involved

I was a frequent customer until I saw a video on the local news of an employee preparing food outside by the dumpster. I will never eat there again especially with the same employee still working there. Disgusting to think that I could have possibly ate something prepared by a dumpster outside.

Worst food ever service is horrible their restraunt code isn't being followed their license isn't on the wall their health inspection isn't on the wall fire escape door is blocked by a table my food was like goo my vegetables were mush my girlfriend used to work here and said this isn't how it was when she did and then proceeded to tell me alot of the food is stored in buckets and nothing is made fresh.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! The food is beyond amazing! If you haven't tried them and you're thinking about it just stop and go!

Bet sushi you can find down south. And if it’s good enough for a US Navy Sailor than I’d say it’s pretty good. 13/10 would sushi again

Sushi is ok at best not the freshest fish and be prepared with a to go order to order wasabi and ginger .... because apparently that's a thing. The only reason they get 3 stars is because they have the cheapest prices around. Again you get what you pay for

Good sushi but the fried rice leaves a lot to be desired. If you go when they are busy, don't expect great service but usually they have good service.

My wife and I loved this place when we lived near it. We have thought about flying back just for this place again.

They seemed to be short staffed. The owner brought my wife's food out and it was the wrong order so we politely told her this is not what I ordered. The owner proceeded to take the menu and point at what she brought to the table so my wife showed her on the menu what she wanted the owner proceeded to tell my wife that's not what she ordered instead of just saying ok we will take care of it she got even louder.

The food is absolutely amazing but service can go a whole lot better if they had somewhere to put their kids.
